If you plan to photograph Utah or Arizona, then be sure to pick up a copy of the book Photographing the Southwest by Laurent Martres. It comes in two volumes: Volume 1 covers Southern Utah, while Volume 2 covers Arizona. These books show you exactly where to visit to get the best shots and are a must buy for anyone serious about photography.
I consider this to be my bible on what to see/visit/photograph and wish there were volumes on all 50 states.
Ben, Could you pls send me a note about whether any of the pix you took of us ballooning would be publishable? My deadline for the story & pix. is friday. I sent you another note in email.
thanks,
elizabeth

??
Just a suggestion...Keep blogging...I check your blog a lot!

Nathan,
I first have to open and adjust all those photos, crop them and get them ready. I've been too busy shooting. I might one day offer them for sale somewhere, but that's not a huge priority right now.

Elizabeth,
Sorry, your previous e-mails got caught by my spam filter. I'm sending your low res photos today... let me know which ones you like and I'll adjust them and send you high-res versions ASAP.
I'll be teaching from 1-5pm tomorrow, so it might not be until night time before I have a chance to send the high-res. (also, Verizon is going to cut off my net access starting tomorrow, but I'll find a way to get them sent).

Ben:
Check out this site http://phototravel.com
Excellent guides written "by photographers for photographers" to most national parks and most other regions of the country. I've been using these guides for over 10 years... they're very accurate, updated by readers and have many useful links.
