If you have a copy of the classic Photoshop book 'Photoshop Channel Chops' (published back in 1998), you might want to consider selling it. The current on-line prices vary from $150 to $650! And to think that I just saw Bert Monroy (one of the authors) and didn't think to bring my copy to get signed, which might have pushed the price even higher. Go ahead and check out ebay, amazon, or your favorite on-line used product site.
I noticed this just last month and posted on the NAPP forums. I had no idea that books could gain value but I'm sure glad I decided to pick up my own copy just last year, months before it was sold out on amazon.
I even hesitated for a long time before buying because of it's release date but thanks to the author Bert, he let me know that it would still apply to todays versions.
Would I ever be kicking myself if I didn't buy the $20 book.

Ben,
It's pretty cool, huh? Most expensive computer trade book ever. I'm thrilled!

I hope you have a few boxes of Channel Chops books in your basement... you could make some good $$ selling signed copies :-)
In case other readers don't recognize it... that last comment was from David Biedny who is one of the author's of the Channel Chops book.

I have a copy of Channel Chops on my bookshelf in mint condition. Anyone interested? What is it about this book that makes it so expensive?

You know, you won't believe this, but in 2001 I bought a copy for under 10 bucks. I would have bought many, many more had I known it would one day be such a hot item!

I just bought the book for 85 euros on amazon UK
On the back of the front cover
it's signed with the words:
May it help,
Bert
Could it be Bert Monroy?
